Congratulations to Rafael Rosendo of Alliance Greenville, on Saturday he placed 3rd in his division and split the open class with teammate Lucas Lepri at the New York International Open.

Congratulations to Alliance Greenville’s own Rafael Rosendo. This past weekend he competed in the absolute division of the Copa America tournament in Columbus GA where he took home the gold medal. He also closed out the no gi absolute division with fellow Alliance team member Chris Moriarty.
Alliance dominated the tournament.

Congratulations to everyone who competed in the Pan Ams last weekend in California. I was extremely proud of everyone. First, it takes a lot to go and compete on what can be a very intimidating stage and everyone who competed fought very well. Derek and Anna both dominated their divisions with first place finishes. Adam, Mike, and Russell finished in third place and I finished in second. Neal won three matches by submission and Matt won three matches as well. Rafael competed in one of if not the toughest divisions of the tournament winning his first match handily and losing his second close match by 1 point. It is great to see the improvement in the team from last year and that all the hard work pays off. Again congratulations and thanks for the effort not only from the competitors but from everybody at the school. It takes a team to help everyone improve.
